I've sampled some of this band's older material, but this is even better. Here, the band sounds much more comfortable and natural, the vocals, guitar melodies, production, etc. - everything is on point. Well worth checking out if you like "dark punk" or whatever the kids are calling it these days. patient_ot
Layering guitars and saxes over synths and drum machines, this Oakland duo's darkwave is as melodically potent as it is texturally rich. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 1, 2024

This album defined an era. People do write about it's influence - but it seriously goes beyond just Melbourne or Australia. For me - I was a teenager when this came out and I barely ever left my bedroom but this music and reading zines like Distort made me feel like there was a movement out there. A decade or so on from this albums release and I dare say that this music continues to push boundaries and set the benchmark for a modern punk sound - a lifestyle and ethos. Steve Z
